SME is an open access scholarly journal published by Presses universitaires de l’Institut Universitaire des Sciences (P‑IUS). Semi‑annual journal (2 issues per year). It publishes original peer‑reviewed research, thematic issues, and may also accept scholarly monographs and edited volumes.

Manuscript Submission

Authors must submit through OJS an anonymized manuscript, a separate title page, and all required statements. Compliance with the journal’s formatting rules, reference style, and open-science requirements is mandatory before the manuscript can proceed to peer review.

References

The required reference style is APA 7 (author-date).

Open science requirements

  • A Data Availability Statement is mandatory.

  • Authors are encouraged to deposit data, code, and supplementary materials in trusted repositories (Zenodo, OSF, Dataverse).

  • Preprints are allowed, provided they are clearly disclosed at submission.

  • ORCID identifiers are strongly recommended for all authors.

Monographs and edited volumes

The journal may consider proposals for scholarly monographs and edited volumes. A proposal package including a concept note, detailed table of contents, timeline, and target audience is reviewed by the editorial board and external experts. Individual chapters may undergo peer review prior to publication.
