Influence des facteurs socio-économiques sur la réussite scolaire des élèves au niveau du fondamental en Haïti, précisément ceux de la commune de la Vallée de Jacmel

Abstract

Socioeconomic factors are a very important aspect when talking about the academic success of primary school students. On the other hand, it is noted that in Haiti, through several studies in the educational field including those of Lafortune, Kanouté in 2007, Chois in 1981, Robergeau and Saint-Fleur, 2007, students in their school experience all have socioeconomic statuses combined. This shows that parents do not all have the same socio-economic status to respond in the same way to the academic needs of their children and actively participate at home and at school in educational tasks to promote their children’s academic success. . Thus, we aim, through this study, to analyze the influence of socioeconomic factors on the academic success of students at the fundamental level of the Jacmel Valley from 2010 to 2021. To do this, a mixed method was used and allowed us to question and interview 90 people who could allow us to better understand the phenomenon under study. On the other hand, the results obtained from this study affirm that the socioeconomic situation of parents, being low, negatively influences the academic success of students.
